A set has two parts: a door station at the entrance and an indoor monitor in the apartment, which work on one IP network and are powered from a PoE switch. Wi-Fi models connect without running cable and forward the call to a phone through the DMSS app. A keypad door station opens the door by code or Mifare card and suits an apartment building entrance, while the 2-wire VTO3222E-P runs on the two wires of an old analogue intercom. An outdoor station needs IP65 protection and a rain cover, and the angled bracket turns the camera towards the entrance. What do I need for a single-apartment video intercom set?

One door station (VTO), one indoor monitor (VTH), a PoE switch or power supply and network cable; add an electric lock for the door. Wi-Fi models need no cable to the monitor.

What does a 2-wire intercom mean?

A door station like the VTO3222E-P carries power and signal over the same two wires. This lets you replace an old analogue intercom without running new cable, but the monitors must also be from the 2-wire series.

Can I answer the call on my phone?

Yes, Dahua IP door stations work with the DMSS app: the call comes to your phone, you see the visitor, talk and open the door. The station needs internet access for this, by cable or Wi-Fi.
