Description
The Dahua HY-BD1 beam smoke detector projects an optical beam 10 to 100 m long and is built to protect large volumes such as warehouses, hangars, sports halls and atriums with ceilings at 6–12 m (20 m at most). At 100 m the coverage radius is 4.7 m and the permitted beam deviation is ±0.5°, so both automatic and manual alignment are provided. It talks to the panel over the Dahua addressable protocol or through a relay output, which also allows third-party systems, and reports fire and beam obstruction as separate events. Sensitivity has three levels, a two-colour indicator shows status; power is 24 V with standby current up to 1 mA. Housing 117 × 152 × 85.5 mm, IP65, CE.
